The West Australian

The kitchen of this Baldivis home combines space with abundant light and upmarket finishes.
Installed by Switch Homes for Living and designed by Giltedge Kitchens and Cabinets, the kitchen was designed to be as visually pleasing as it is functional.
Three hanging feature lights above the central island bench are eye-catching and illuminate the worktop space, while a deep grey glass splashback enhances the modern look and is easy to clean. The kitchen has essastone benchtops and a tiled floor, both materials chosen for their looks and durability.
The kitchen has plenty of storage with a walk-in pantry and overhead cupboards. It has stainless-steel European appliances, including a 900mm cooktop and oven.
The ensuite of the home was designed to have a light and spacious feel with plenty of floor space, light colours and clean lines. There is a corner spa bath by a window, a separate toilet and a glass-fronted shower.
The walls have been fully tiled in beige with feature mosaic tile strips that add focal points.
The twin vanity has a marble benchtop and white cabinetry that offers plenty of storage space, including a built-in towel nook. A heat lamp adds warmth to the room.
Upmarket finishes have been used in the laundry which has travertine floor tiles, an essastone benchtop and white melamine cabinetry, including handle-less overhead cupboards. The laundry has been fully tiled and has a feature tiled strip to the benchtop area.
The neutral and light colour scheme was designed to enhance the laundry’s bright and spacious feel. The laundry has plenty of storage including a floor-to-ceiling cupboard along one wall.
