The SwitchEight30 kitchen is an entertainer’s dream, according to Switch Homes for Living sales manager Lee Morris. “The central feature of this modern kitchen is a long island bench that can also be used as a family breakfast bar,” Mr Morris said “A sliding door off the kitchen hides a neat scullery that provides extra room for food preparation and for storing dishes until they’re ready to be served — a brilliant addition to the modern kitchen.” Hand-manufactured cabinetry including waterfall bench ends and soft-closing drawers, a servery window from the kitchen to the alfresco area and Ariston appliances are among the kitchen’s highlights. The display’s ensuite features a big walk-in hobless shower, vitreous china Stylus and Caroma plumbing fittings, metabox drawers and an essastone benchtop. Mr Morris said the open-plan ensuite also featured twin basins set in a broad, tiled and mirrored floating feature wall which stopped short of the ceiling to create a spacious, airy feeling. “Tucked neatly behind the wall are the toilet and shower — a design feature in keeping with celebritystyle luxury,” he said. “As the shower and toilet are concealed and can’t be seen at all from the bedroom, we’ve done away with the need for a shower screen or toilet door, again ensuring maximum use of space. And while it’s an open-plan ensuite, it has doors that allow it to be closed off from the bedroom for maximum privacy.” Lisa Calautti
