Construction began recently on Ellenbrook’s newest display village at Lexia, which will be the seventh village in the north-eastern suburb. Eventually, the display village will include 25 display homes from leading builders including Summit Homes, the Homebuyers Centre, New Generation Homes, Content Living, the WA Housing Centre, Scott Park Homes and Celebration Homes. Among the numerous other builders that will also be represented at the village are Blueprint Homes, Dal e Alc ock Homes, Metrostyle, Homestart, Switch Homes for Living and Gemmill Homes. Once completed, the Lexia development will accommodate 425 households, making it an intimate neighbourhood with a strong focus on community, according to Danny Murphy, managing director of developer LWP Property Group. “Lexia’s public open spaces will appeal to all ages and stages of life with cycleways, barbecue facilities, children’s playgrounds and other community facilities part of our plans for the area,” said Mr Murphy. The development had direct links to surrounding wetlands and wilderness trails and homes in the new display village were being built to reflect this, Mr Murphy said. The display village will include designs ranging from those suited to narrow lots to bigger, more traditional homes. Both first and subsequent homebuyers will be catered for. Also included in the display village will be a new two-storey LWP sales office to be built by the Rural Building Company — a company which Mr Murphy said very much represented the feel of the village of Lexia. The new display village is expected to open later in the year and, until then, the display village at the nearby Malvern Springs development will remain open.
