No half measures, apart from layout

The West Australian

Built by Switch Homes for Living, this Ellenbrook project home was designed for functional living and entertaining, with a distinctive layout divided into two sections — the entry and bedrooms and the living, entertaining and outdoor spaces.
The kitchen and alfresco area form the hub of the home, with a central island bench encouraging interaction between cook and guests.
Quality fittings and stainless-steel appliances add a touch of luxury to the kitchen, with two ovens, a microwave and a coffee machine built into the main module, flanked by an abundance of storage cupboards and a walk-in pantry with built-in shelving.
Glass doors open the living area to the alfresco zone, which is sheltered under the main roof. The ensuite is a retreat off the main suite through double cavity sliders, featuring a double vanity with oblong basins, two mirrors and mirror-image cabinetry. A large walk-around shower is divided by a tiled feature wall.
The main suite is positioned away from the minor bedrooms and has direct access to the study, which extends to a private courtyard. These design features provide a parents’ retreat away from the children’s wing and main living areas.
A contemporary elevation with clean lines ensures street appeal and the neutral colour scheme of the render and roof keeps it timeless.
