Changing family needs are well met in the versatile design features on offer in the strangely named Switcheight70 at Aveley. “We set out to create a strong focus on adaptability, and the market for which this display is pitched has responded extremely favourably,” said Lee Morris, the sales and marketing manager for Switch Homes for Living. “Our distinctive concept of clustering together utility areas for greater convenience has really gained traction in the Switcheight70.” The versatile floor plan creates an ideal balance between private spaces and interactive family zones in the 316sqm home. Three courtyards — off the laundry, by the study and a paved private area adjoining the rear main suite — cater for domestic and retreat needs. This last zone, an ideal spot for a quiet read, can also be used as a spillover for guests from the alfresco area next to it. Outsized separate twin robes situated behind the bed typify the expansive nature of the 17sqm luxury main bedroom with a 31-course ceiling. Its resort-style ensuite has a cavity sliding entry door, a separate toilet and an extended shower recess with ample space for two and the thoughtful inclusion of a wall recess for toiletries. Given generous cabinet space and quality tapware and appliances, the kitchen functions as an open, welcoming hub firmly at the centre of living activity. Its broad island bench has an essastone worktop and includes a comfortable attached breakfast bar with extra drawer space. Overhead cabinet doors open upwards for easy access. The walk-in pantry is bigger than average and is designed so that the fridge can go there rather than the main working area. Switch Homes’ clustering principle sees the pantry and linen storage sharing common space, with extra utility storage and a second linen cupboard neatly tucked away nearby, well away from traffic. The three secondary bedrooms have generous built-in robes and share a separate wing. The bathroom, with bathtub and large shower, serves also as a semi-ensuite to one of the bedrooms.
