If you are looking for something a little outside the norm, the Switcheight80 by Switch Homes for Living offers genuine creativity and innovation. On display in Harrisdale’s Vertu estate, it is an upmarket resort-style home that will appeal in particular to families with older children, with its open-plan, rear-living design. Lee Morris, Switch Homes’ sales and marketing manager, said the house had a very modern, luxury appeal. “We’ve included some fantastic extras that set it apart, like the huge alfresco courtyard and pool, the rammed-earth walls on the facade and a light, bright living area,” he said. “As well as all the luxury elements, we’ve made sure the popular Switch trademarks are included like the nestled utilities areas and great flow of the home, allowing for rooms to be ‘switched’ for different purposes as families grow. “It all works really well, and is proving to be one of our most popular homes.” Children have their own zone at the front of the home, with a dedicated entry to three double bedrooms with robes and a bathroom with a separate toilet and vanity. The main bedroom has a built-in make-up bench, a spacious walk-in robe and a big ensuite. Opposite the main bedroom you fill find a study with its own access, and a cinema with a double-sided glass fireplace. Entertainers will love the open-plan area and the well-equipped kitchen, which comes with granite benchtops, hand-manufactured cabinetry, a big island bench with pop-up power points, and a huge walk-in pantry with fridge and freezer space. Dining and living rooms are either side of the kitchen, with wide sliding doors opening the whole space out to a large alfresco area, which has a built-in stainless-steel kitchen and an outlook across the swimming pool and waterwise gardens.
